Reaching people

I have been meeting with a rich man in a big mansion for the last few weeks.  He has all the money he needs, is happy and follows God according to the light he has been shown.   He has anxiety and is often stressed about life and family problems that his children who have left he home are experiencing.  This man is interested in prophecy but has come to the popular teachings of harvest, calvary chapel, etc.
I have been trying to reach this man by inviting him to the meetings but he has had some objections such as fear of crowds, anxiety, the fact that he goes to bed at 7:30, etc.  I have been praying that I could reach him by any means even if not possible to bring him to the meetings.
My prayers were answered yesterday when Bud opened up and poured out his heart as to why he was feeling stressed and what he wanted for his family, I showed him all of our message books: gc mop peace d2 d9 final and the cookbook and he bought them especially excited about reading peace and sharing it with his daughter!  Here God provided a bridge for me to show him how I could help and I offered to give him Bible Studies on stress (GC) when I come back.  He was glad and i could see his eyes get brighter after we prayed and said bye.  What a blessing!

Holy spirit work

There was a contact that I had visited several times. One of the last times I visited her I was a little concerned by how she was acting toward me. She seemed somewhat hesitant to talk to me and I left shortly there after. After that point, I prayed that the Holy Spirit would soften hearts. My prayer was answered last time I visited her (with Larry Carter). She was happy to see us, and expressed her interest in the 7th day Sabbath! More prayer is needed because it is obvious that the devil is working overtime to discourage her.

Bible Study Contact Story

So I met a fellow, sold him a storytime for 7 dollars, came back later and he asked me to come inside.  He told me that he was stressed out and anxious and felt as if the devil was trying to kill him.  Since the devil truly is trying to kill us I responded that he was right and we had a Bible study on the GC and how to pray to God for protection and freedom from anxiety (Phil 4:6-7)  I came back a week later and he told me that he had been praying and that prayer had given him strength and peace in a stressful work situation...  Then he asked me to get in his truck and to go give Bible studies to his friend who binges on alcohol, I got in and we headed down the road....  More on this next time, stay tuned....

Results from flyers

It started with a call from someone who wanted to pre-register for the apoc2012 meetings.she told the person on the phone that her husband had found the flyer lying on the ground and brought it to her because he thought it would be something that she would be interested in. They both came for the fist and second night's presentations, and are excited to meet new people and learn more.

Divine Appointments

I (joseph) was praying that I would meet people who saw their need and were really interested in learning more about the bible. I met Becky as I was canvassing, and showed her the Man of Peace maga book. She was really excited at how simple it was, and went on to tell me that despite being a Christian, she found it hard to understand the Bible. She took this book along with one for her son, and then singed up for Bible studies! Major ATP (answer to prayer)

Spirit-led studies save souls from cigarettes and selfishness

I had an amazing experience with a young man who wanted to go over the truth link study guides together.  We ended up going on a Spirit led study about "How to study the Bible"-- no plan or outline involved, and after being blessed by this, the contact asked? "Can we study some more?"  At this point it probably would have been acceptable to leave, but I felt it necessary to stay, impressed that we needed to go deeper. This time we studied tl lesson 2: the origin of evil-- Questions were answered about free will, did God create evil? etc. and there were many "aha" moments and spiritual epiphanies experienced by the contact and myself as we, once again, went on a freestyle Spirit-led study, asking questions and dialoguing amongst ourselves and with the Scriptures as we went along.  At the end, I felt the need to make an appeal but, not having an outline or plan, simply asked the question: How can we apply what we have just learned?  All of a sudden the contact stands up and says, "give me a hug" to which I responded by... hugging the contact. The contact then proceeds to  open up and explain how he had started smoking, had stopped reading his Bible and was being a poor example at school and at church, and wanted to change. Our last text was was Hebrews 2:14-15 and so he shared how he wanted to be free from cigarettes and from spiritual apathy, I also shared how I wanted freedom from specific attitudes, thought processes and actions that were hindering my spiritual growth.  We prayed and sealed our decision to be free in Jesus Christ. PTL!

Week 1 a success

Week one has been fun, we've gotten a lot done, asking Arlington to accept God's Son, nevertheless we have just begun. 

We have had to adjust our approach to the people in that there remain only 5 weeks until the evangelistic series is to begin.  We have been handing out "Truth Link" quick guides to the people and are prepping them fast for the meetings, making friends with them as much as possible meanwhile.

Joseph was able to meet a young lady and show her the books that we had.  He let her know of the free services in the community and she, being Christian, and interested in spiritual things, signed up to study the Bible with Joseph.

Michael had a wonderful experience with a gentleman who was highly interested in the events occurring in Israel, which he believes are orchestrated by secret societies.  Looking to the 70 weeks prophecy of Daniel 9 as pointing to a restoration of the temple in Jerusalem and a millennial reign of Christ here on this earth,  he was very interested to hear about the possibility of a heavenly sanctuary and a different look at the 70 weeks, referring more to a spiritual/worldwide Israel as opposed to his literal/local interpretation.  A Bible study on this study was conducted and the gentleman was impressed and inspired to look more deeply into this beautiful truth.  Truly a blessing.

All in all it has been a wonderful week of blessings, divine appointments, with God working in every situation to His glory.
